We had a pilot who would do the same thing - after the jumpers were away he would just circle down and always be on the ground before us. One time I had an adverse event where my container release accidentally got pulled in the plane. Can be a real dangerous event and I had to sit there...
I agree - I used to skydive back before I started flying. I couldn't wait till we got enough altitude so that I could get out as it was safer outside the plane than it was in. Plane was a an old 182 with enough holes in it that you could see the ground as you're waiting to get to altitude.
I'm assuming you mean the small black plug - although it's painted on some airplane. It is access to a bolt on an arm that is part of the elevator assembly.
If you're talking about the circle on the front at the bottom - that would be the air intake for the overhead vents. There's a vent above...

I still owe you for the exhaust clamp - I tried to ship your bottle of wine to find that that wouldn't work so I thought I'd be able to make it up at the fly-in but I'm in Portugal. I hope to hook up with you one of these days since I owe you!
The parts manual is located in the hanger section. You need to go back to the main menu for the site and find the hanger section. It is password protected so somebody needs to send you the password by email since we won't post it anywhere where the public might have access to it.
