    Gas Spring Door Stays

Carl might Have a set, but I don't believe that the springs for the early 112's will fit your airplane

    FNG

I spend half my time in SOW which is at 6400 ft. And in and out of places like Gunnison Colorado where our kids live many times. The turbo pretty much makes it a non event.

New Member, Soon to be New Pilot

Welcome to the group and good luck on getting your license. Whether it's the right plane for you or not, really depends on what you intend to do with it. I'm sure you've heard it by now, but your mission and your requirements really dictate what kind of plane is right for you. Too many people...

New Member with Lots of Questions!

You will get there- it's not that hard. Hopefully you've been perusing the members section. There's a huge amount of information to be had there. Since you are a member, it is always best to post on the members side as people are reluctant to respond on the public side which can be accessed from...

New Member with Lots of Questions!

Welcome- You're looking at one great airplane! I have owned mine for 20 plus years. I noticed you are in the public forums which means you have joined as a member, yet. There is a huge amount of information available in the member section and I would suggest that it would be more than worth...

    Swift Unleaded Fuels

I agree and I read an article that the Swift fuels probably won't be widespread. I think they have seen the writing on the wall and the other day they were offering a highly discounted STC. I don't know that it costs anymore to produce the 100 unleaded but American greed would dictate that since...

    Swift Unleaded Fuels

Yes the STC is paperwork only. I hope Ken is right and somebody does step in because right now the STC is $475.

    Now a 114 Owner!

Thanks for updating your signature. Over time you will find that having the relevant information there is a lot of value When you ask questions people know exactly what model you're flying and where you are. The responses tend to be considerably more correct since there are many differences...

    Swift Unleaded Fuels

I watched the video today on Swift aviation fuel. Specifically the 100 UL version. It was pretty well done and explained that GAMI had proven that their fuel was actually less likely to cause detonation than 100 LL is. Kind of a long-winded way to ask but has anybody purchased the STC yet? I...

New 114 owners in Olympia, WA

Congratulations on aircraft ownership - you'll love it although it is not the best aircraft to train in as it can be somewhat complex. The information in the members only side of this site is critical for ownership and maintenance. There are things that you will find there that your local A&p...

What's under your Christmas tree this year?

You should be aware that the microphones on those types of headsets are very directional and it's easy to get it rotated the wrong direction. If that happens then ATC won't be able to hear you. That's the first thing I would check. I don't have any experience with the faro, but I do own both a...

What's under your Christmas tree this year?

I had the QT headset before the clarity alofts. I still have them and I liked them a lot but because of the way that they are built you can't really get the foam insert properly into the ear. The earpieces on the clarity alofts are much smaller and it allows me to actually insert the foam...

What's under your Christmas tree this year?

I've been using the clarity aloft for a number of years now and if properly inserted in the ear, it is quieter than my lightdpeeds. Makes a huge difference out here in the heat to not have to deal with the sweating from the ear cups. I give it a 10 rating.
