Yes - although the stock is readily available I can see how it would be a real problem if you did not have something to work off of.

For anyone who finds this article and reads it in the future, the metal stock for the boarding steps is readily available- aircraft spruce carries it. On a separate note, the article indicates that one of the gear collapsed on landing. It sure appears to me as though they we're never put down.

    Renewal of membership

Okay maybe I should retract the suggestion. Venmo is an electronic payment application which is very common here in the States. Did not realize you did not have it there. :(

    Renewal of membership

Maybe it's time to move into this century and dump PayPal. Is it time to move to venmo?

    Cool Inflight Photos

Way cool- I took a plane out of Maui once ( Cherokee ), Flew it around the island and landed it at Molokai. Did a Pitts around Kauai - both very memorable experiences. Especially when you're from Arizona.

    Renewal of membership

I know that this has been an ongoing issue and PayPal will be necessary to register for the fly-in. Is it now resolved?

Thanks for the response - I have changed the lower ones but I guess it's time to consider doing the upper ones so I don't find myself in your situation. Good luck getting it fixed.

    Cicadas

Not paranoid - Texas has the grasshopper season. Fly high and carry stuff to clean the mess off. For some reason this has started out as a very buggy spring. Have had to use a pail and sponge on the leading edges after the last three flights. (worst its been in the 20+ years I have owned the...

Hopefully you have two brand new nose gear springs since one sits inside the other :)

    Vacation and gear issues

The quick zip to pressurize the system when you first start up is not unusual. What is unusual is your comments that there was air in the lines. If that's the case, there has to be some kind of an internal leak as those lines should always be 100% fluid. The system is self-purging and will...

    Vacation and gear issues

Start by turning the master switch on and listening to see if the pump runs. If the pump doesn't run continuously then there's no need to do anything. Take off with the gear down. Fly it to where you want to go and land. Pulling the breaker and all of the other things suggested are great...
