    2022 Fly-In?

Fort Collings was outstanding and extremely well put together. I was there for those opportunities to talk to other Commander owners and the workshops. I can always do sightseeing but I cannot always be around a lot of Commander owners. The Hotel was outstanding as well as the lineup of the...

    Just liked this picture..

Always nice to see an airplane that is extremely well taken care of. But, none beat the Commander when it is in that category! Level is the only way, as it indeed makes the Commander stand out. Frank

    2022 Fly-In?

Yes, it was East last year. Time for the eastern folks --- Go West! Where we went in Colorado would be awesome as the people that planned that event did an outstanding job in picking that place. Close to the airport lots of shuttle service, outstanding food, and the hotel was great.

    First Flight 2022

The WX in the pacific NW has been bad during the week but acceptable for flying on the weekends. Flew on Jan 1. Not bad weather and had a great lunch with some fellow pilots.

Hi - new member soon to be new owner

Airframe. Used the list in the link above which is good. For the first annual I had the tail, rudder etc taken off. Had a cracked spar in the elevator (left side). Replaced a lot of screws, bolts in the tail, mains and nose gear. Checked all of the seat rollers. Under the back seat multiple...

Regarding the Flyin how about coming closer to the West Coast or at least not to far east of the Rockies?

    Sedona vs Grand Canyon

I have been to Sedona several times and the runway is interesting. When I was there the last time the airport restaurant was open and had good food. Very nice place.

    A great day for flying

Took a trip to just fly. Took off at my home airport Pearson Field KVUO followed the Columbia River to Astoria, OR KAST. Landed and just watched planes take off and land. Took off from KAST turned South to fly down the Pacific coast Flew South about 35 minutes and then turned back towards my...

    Need a mentor

I have a 1976 114 and flown across the country and never had to go higher than 12,500. I am VFR because I never has to be someplace at a certain time. If I did need to be there I would fly commercial - which I don't do as I never have to take my shoes off when I want to fly. I also like VFR...

    Fuel prices

WA. Chehalis Centralia Airport KCLS $2.80 a gal. Great place to fuel up as it is a very nice airport and not that far away. In many places here auto gas higher than aviation fuel - not a lot but still higher. Unreal!!!!! Lots of pilots flying from my airport KVUO as we have had some great flying WX.

    New Cowling Update

The first post says it is for a 114 and #4 post is universal parts that are on 112,112A,112B,114,114A. The cowl, if I am reading it right, is not for a 112.

    New Cowling Update

My understand is the cowl being presented is for a 114. My 114 1976 does not have screws for securing the top cowl as it has 2 latches on each side.

    New Gear Pumps

Mine has never change since I have owned it -- the nose is first and the right is next. If mine changed I would wonder what was wrong. Michael your landing gear operates in the same sequence as mine. I have landed at Salem a lot over the years. Great place to eat for sure! BTW I try to keep...

    New Gear Pumps

On jacks - I have timed mine multiple times and up it is about 10 to 11 seconds. Down around 5 secs. Hydraulic dump -- down immediately on the ground. Hydraulic dump in the air is immediate for the mains but the nose has to have less than or around 80 kts before it will thump in and get a...

T82 fly-in minute by minute updates

My airport is closed for 2 weeks as the runway is being redone, and I did not want my airplane sitting at another airport. Next year our airport will get all new asphalt for the ramps and taxiway and if the construction date is the same as this year and the COG is the same date I will not be...
