    UK Commander Get together

Re: UK Commander Get together Flight back was fine this morning -pretty cold start though. Quite a contrast to the sleet and snow up here and then the rain and poor vis at Kemble yesterday. The Water Park Hotel was a good recommendation. I got some excellent dawn photos.

EASA rule changes in the UK/Europe

Re: EASA rule changes in the UK/Europe It is a potential shambles. As far as reciprocal rights are concerned it seems that there are so many N-registered planes over here that there's a good chance you'll find one if you want a hire. On the other hand, the rules are still being 'developed'. It...

EASA rule changes in the UK/Europe

Had an unexpected phone call from my usual AME this week-end. He told me that he'd attended a metting of AMEs to discuss the new European rules last week. He was concerned that there was enormous and unresolved confusion about the new rules. He recommended that I consider having my medical...

    Clean 100 Octane Coalition Updates

Re: Clean 100 Octane Coalition Updates Hi Lawrence, We formed a fuel club. We have a 15000 litre avgas tank in a secure container set up as an experiment by a company that is already operating in the fuelling business. This is no bowser. The bottom line is that it complies with all the...

    Easa approved

Re: Easa approved Hi Allen, This is quite an uninformed and misleading article. Mr Deacon starts with "Oxygen is oxygen. It is the substance that matters, not the intended purpose. These days, welding, medical, and aviation oxygen are exactly the same. All three come from the same tank of...

Re: Easa approved OK. Bear with me here guys. This one could kill you. O2 itself is O2 - no question. But what might appear to be the same thing from one source can be quite different when taken from another. Take 'water' as an example. We all know what water is...right??? How many types of...

    Easa approved

Re: Easa approved Martin, Well done persevering with EASA. They are worse than politicians. A couple of points ;- first, do you know if this applies to the 114B? I'd be really interested to find out more if it does. The second point is regarding the use of medical oxygen systems. There's oxygen...

Re: Fuel prices in canada Thanks Lawrence. Have not really looked at Flyer's stuff. makes a lot of sense. I also like the idea of AOPA discounts.
