No change in overhaul. But you get a new exhaust, and fuel pump, so no point replacing/overhauling them.

    112 Hot Shot

Hi Clark, You are correct, 15c = 59f:-) 8th grade physics was sooo long ago:-)

Basically it's the difference between having a throttle knob that works, and having a throttle knob that doesn't work. In an NA airplane above around 7 - 8kft the throttle doesn't do anything. You just push it all the way forward and forget about it - like driving a Yugo on the freeway - mash...

That's probably GS, but he's making 24" of manifold preassure at 10,500ft. Not sure what the DA, or OAT is. He used the plane to commute from SoCal to the foothills of the eastern Cascades in Oregon, so would skirt around the south eastern side of Mt Shasta. A turbo for him was a must. Around...

    112 Hot Shot

The engine has no idea where it is, how hot it is, or how high up it is. It's just a dumb machine that pumps air. If it gets 28.5" of manifold preassure it can produce 260hp. The turbonormalizer can give the engine 28.5"+ of manifold pressure at any temperature, or altitude up to 18Kft. Above...

    112 Hot Shot

Sorry, I'm not understanding your question. What do you think a turbonormalizer does? If you were experiencing anaemic performance because the DA was 3K ft wouldn't you prefer to have standard sea level performance? "Normalized to sea level DA"

    112 Hot Shot

What altitude do you normally fly at? The 114HS already makes more power than the Super above 7K ft.

    New Partnership w/EarthX batteries

Cool! Did you take it to Dallas Execitive? 24lbs in the back, 28lbs in the front. 50+ more useful:-) Call me when you get a chance.

    114hs 2.0

Hi Rob, Yes. You could shelve it for a while and fly the time off of your old engine. Adding it when you do an overhaul is a good idea. The system includes a new exhaust, and fuel pump - things that you'd have to overhaul anyway. And I recommend adding a Plane Power alternator, GAMI injectors...

The system is approved for all 114, and 114A serial numbers.

    114hs 2.0

I've had a couple fairly serious inquires recently about the 114 Hot Shot system. By serious I'm talking about people that haven't hung up the phone immediately upon hearing what it would cost to produce. I have many of the pieces I would need to assemble 3-5 systems, but the STC's for some of...

    New Gear Pumps

Probably a better pump than the $3000 pump that's in your plane, and a direct bolt- up! FAA say "no bueno" https://www.dbelectrical.com/products/tilt-trim-motor-bmw-mercruiser-volvo-penta-6217-pt440.html

    New Gear Pumps

The gear pump is one component of our airplanes that all of us need to become intimately familiar with. It's foolish to not have a plan in place for the eventual failure of your gear pump. How extreme each person is in their planning may differ, but everyone should at least know who they're...

MT governor on 112A- anyone have install photos?

Hmm, good question. I thought it was also mentioned on the prop STC - no? I saw a Partenavia in Santa Fe a few years back that had MT governors, and Harzell propellers on it. Partenavia's have the same engines in them as the 112TC - they said swore it was legal without an STC, so maybe?

MT governor on 112A- anyone have install photos?

P-860-5 I Can get you a great price on one of them, and they will work with a Harzell prop, but they're not approved for use on our airplanes except with an MT prop. I have a good Edo air core I can sell you for around 700 - it might not even need rebuild - was working when removed, if you...
