  • Hi Kelly, my name is Matt McClean. I’ve been looking at Commanders as a potential next aircraft. I’ve tried to go look at one several times but it hasn’t worked out yet. I was wondering if you would be willing to let me come take a look at your aircraft. I live in Springfield. Please let me know.
    Regards,
    Matt
Hi Kelly - hope life is treating you well. I didn't want to post this on the site but I found the clamp that to me looks like fit and form are identical to the Lycoming one. I think you actually helped me find one a while back. I'd have to go back and look but I think it came from somewhere like summit racing. With the new style mount the clamp doesn't take very much weight at all and I'm okay using a comparable clamp rather than the absurdly priced Lycoming one.
Are you located in OKC or the other way in Joplin? I would love to bring the bird by and show you some of the upgrades from when Alex owned it.

I wouldn't publish it in public area. Pretty sure the member area is secure. k
Good Morning Kelly, question on oxygen. Would like to see about getting O2 system for our 114, can you direct me on possible system pieces/components make something portable? Was reading up on the site, saw posts about what Sven did with a tank in the luggage bay area? Thanks for directing me.
    Hello Kgrant,
i’m still interested in your oxygen tank setup.
    do you still have it?
    could you send a pic?
    thanks

I have the plastic housing & the aluminum piece that mounts to the floor structue. I threw away the steel tank. It weighed a lot & was pretty obsolete. I'll try to get a pic of what I have. It's buried in a hangar rat's nest. k

sorry for the delayed reply, been sick ( sinus infection) replacing the nut plates arent to bad especially with a squeeze and modified rivet sets. when backsealing the nutplate rivets thin the sealer to facilitate easier covering instead a blob sitting there.

i prefer to do this and let it set up before i reinstall the panels so i can see if i missed a spot. check with a dental mirror good luck send me a email if you run into issues
    take care
