Flew grandson to KSLR Sulpher Springs TX

:) At least you didn't have problems with that pesky fly that stowed away prior to your departure. Ha!

    COG Server and Forums/Website - 6/28

As a “pre-announcement”,… For some time, we have needed to take action regarding the now well-aged servers that support the operation of our forums and technical info. There is good news on the horizon. For the past few months, one of our members has been working to migrate our bulletin board...

COG has a quiet program that may be able to pick up a number of these springs to hold as reserve "inventory". COG won't sell them directly as they must be considered "Owner Provided Parts". But COG can help with the acquisition expense to reach a cost effective min ordering quantity.

    First Flight 2025

You are going to really enjoy your landings on the USS Sedona. Great experience and the runway slope will give you a very different landing sight picture depending upon the selected runway. Coming from Texas, traveling across the high desert and crossing the canyon edge into the Sedona area is...

I have been pleased with the vibration and noise levels. Don’t have a direct speed comparison but Carl Lee may be able to weigh in with some tech data. When compared to the stock prop, the MT also helps with W&B on the 114. (Decreases any need for baggage compartment ballast.). All...

Don, When you get to the segment w/ Jim Richards showing the removal of the main gear strut, please send me a copy. Have an AP working on a Commander that would love to see it. Raw footage will be fine. Thanks again for a great fly-in. Well done.

    Bald Eagle Encounter

If you’re going to take a bird hit, try to take it on the left side. 3TC has a nice newer heavy duty 114 leading edge courtesy of a gull hit in AK. Glad it was only a near miss.

    COG 2024 Annual fly-in

Just to make certain non-COG members are aware,... The Fly-in this year will be held at Fredericksburg, TX (T82). Hotel reservations are being made at the Hangar Hotel which is right on the field at T82. It is a truly unique facility. You must make your reservation by calling the Hotel...

    All Good Things

Think the factory addition happened after s/n 380. 3TC was an s/n in the mid-400s and I had to update after I acquired her.

    All Good Things

Just as a reminder for those who haven’t seen the earlier threads…. The early 112’s had a problem area on the firewall wherein said firewall tended to crack in the vicinity of certain engine mounts. An approved patch/reinforcement was developed by the factory. Many early models have been...
