Re: Feel-good flight Hi Sid, It's a plain-vanilla 1976 114. Recent major overhaul, though and I think the MY prop really helps the climb. All credit to the tailwind, though. I was only truing out at 139 ktas. Still, not bad on 10 GPH.

We don't get to brag too often about speed, so when I caught a great tail wind last Friday I had to post. Northern Wisconsin to southeast Michigan at 15,000 ft. Over 200 kts most of the way with superlative speed of 223 kts over the ground. At ten gallons per hour, too.:D I think this is a...

Re: New Website I agree. I've always said that a turbo-normalizer would make a real airplane out of that 114. First line of defense against icing here in Michigan is good climb rate through 12,000.
