Hi Ken. G-NATT isn't a TC but a 114A. I need an 8289-4, for example from https://awi-ami.com/8289-4-rockwell-114-right-hand-muffler-shroud.html though they tell me they haven't actually got any. I haven't had any luck in finding anyone that does just yet, though I haven't asked on the forums yet.

Are these the most beautiful planes in the air....

I remember that from learning in C150/152/172. Another great photo! Is it the gopro we can see sticking out form under the wing on the first picture a the top of the thread?

Are these the most beautiful planes in the air....

Did they open the 172's windows for the shots? I've seen that done before and it certianly gives the clearest results.

A quick stop at ASG, Guernsey (EGJB)

As has been posted before, ASG are an excellent resource for those of us in the UK and in Europe. They have a number of Commanders in their care and as I walked through the hangar on arrival last Friday, I took a few pictures...

New to the site and Commanders

Re: New to the site and Commanders Welcome, and enjoy! Where are you learning - a 112 is a much nicer aircraft than most schools use!

Southwest Ontario Fly-In on September 2nd

Re: Southwest Ontario Fly-In on September 2nd Don't come and fly in Europe, then! Last month we paid $2.75 per litre at our base. A trip we're planning for a couple of weeks heading down to Africa and prices in Spain seem to be around $3.10 per litre. I haven't found out the prices in...

    Unusual cross-shopping

Re: Unusual cross-shopping As you identify, a 114 is more comparable to an SR22. For an SR20, perhaps you should be comparing to a 112. Our flying syndicate has compared our 114 to an SR22 many times and every time has come up with the result that it would be pretty comparable on running...

    MT Propeller

Re: MT Propeller FlyASG are the folks at Guernsey. They're almost all 114Bs, but the engineering guys there are really knowledgeable and helpful - I've called them a number of times on the search for parts for G-NATT and their advice has always been freely given and spot on.

    Expecting Parent

Re: Expecting Parent Welcome, Vince. Good choice on a Commander over a C172, there's really no comparison! Sounds like your aircraft is going to get some great attention from a knowledgeable owner which is good to hear. Enjoy the 112TC and enjoy being a member here - one of the friendliest...

MT Prop delivered- happiness in a crate

Re: MT Prop delivered- happiness in a crate Looks great! Have their lead times for manufacture come down at all from the 14 weeks I was quoted a couple of years ago?

    Commander MT-Propeller

Re: Commander MT-Propeller I got in touch with MT for a quote - very reasonably priced. So reasonable, in fact, that they currently have a 14 week order backlog! Such a shame as they'd have had my order without a shadow of a doubt but another 14 weeks of being grounded after it's already been...

    UK Commander Get together

Re: UK Commander Get together Hi Ian. We had the repair done and after waiting for EASA approval, the actual process was pretty quick and painless. It also happened to be exactly what our engineers said they would do if they were allowed as soon as the issue came to light, but that's a...

    UK Commander Get together

Re: UK Commander Get together Oh dear, on the A check I found that the latch on the port fuel tank cover had snapped, leaving no way of securing the cover in flight. Hope you all have a great visit to Kemble, Sorry Commander 21 won't be there! :(
