I just passed 100 hours in a Commander

Stuck in Prescott, got horrible shimmy on roll out and aborted. Then got sever shack just trying to taxi. Jim I’ll need a new dampener overnighted to me if possible. I have the scissor kit of yours as well so I’ll install both. I’m gonna send ya an email.

Welcome! Were you at KCNO yesterday? I was landing on my way back from Big Bear and thought you departed right before I landed.

Now that all my flights are not focused on passing a Checkride I am looking forward to getting up and continuing my education and learning more on that and what the plane likes.

My number 2 is always significantly hotter than the others. Number 1 being the coolest. For the oil pressure my IA tapped into the gauge on the lower panel, was a $15 AN fitting. According to Flight Aware 4,500ft @ 121kts

Was at the airport today working on the annual and noticed a Commander doing stop and goes. Had red, white and blue stripes. Haven’t seen it there before.

Punched my ticket today, in the Commander. Finally got to fly the wife and daughter to dinner. They were thrilled. Now I am going to rack up some XC time and start instrument training. Feels good to finally log some PIC time.

Re: What would you do? Do you have oil analysis taken? Just did my first oil change and analysis on my new Commander and while some levels are high compression is good and there is no metal in the oil, filter or screen. From reading Mike Busch book it’s about patterns most engines will not just...

Re: Gas Spring Door Stays I installed mine and will have an IA sign off. I’m currently doing some modifications and will call the IA to come inspect and sign off when I’m done with them.

Re: New to the site and Commanders Student in a complex airplane. Estimate is to drop in half after the first year if I get 50 hours in.
