I managed to book a room for Oshkosh without needing to pay for it by selling the airplane. I'll be there early in the week (Mon, Jul 22 thru Wed, Jul 24). Very likely flying in using commercial airlines. Who else is planning to be there?

Air Power (in April) quoted $57k for overhaul, $63k for rebuilt, and $105k for factory new. That's for the IO-540-T4B5 engine from the later 114B models, which can be installed in the earlier model 114s with Jim's STC. The -T4B5 can also be ordered with one Lycoming EIS (originally Surefly)...

Not for that model year. You need to correct your signature. You own a 1977 114, not a 1976 114.
