need help with GI275 HSI install

Mine was installed at the original place with an adaptor plate, but we had to move some wires to the other side because of interference. After that it passed the test.

Hi Stephen, I sent you a mail with some info. Also I have checked the process for changing hands. It will get a fresh annual inspection to FAA standards and deregistered. Next you will register it with the N-number you like, after which a local FAA DER will issue an Airworthiness Certificate...

How do you think about my 115TC, could it be something for you?

    O .. M .. G ...

I think the pilot is just having some fun too. On our airport the jumpers and the plane are always competing to get down on the ground first and it is at Vne all the way...

Commander in the September 21 Plane and Pilot

I flew the new Diamond DA50RG a few days ago - OMG - I just love my Commander even more. The DA50 is nice and new, has the 300HP (270HP MCP) Diesel we all want, but is to heavy with 4400lbs and has too small tanks with only 50USG so mediocre performance. No match for the 114TC in speed, range...

    New Cowling Update

20 lbs lighter in the front would be lovely on the nose heavy 114TC's. The finish is good enough, but the shape is wrong and not fitting the fuselage seamless. The cowl flaps are not aligned and in shape with cowling. Every irregularity takes speed and there is 20 kts up to a Bonanza where they...

    New Cowling Update

Carl, the 115 cowling is sturdy and mechanically in pretty good shape, but very heavy. It would be nice with a lighter version to help with the CG. Aerodynamically the upper half is OK, but lower part is rubbish without attention to detail - imho.

    MT Propeller

Re: MT Propeller You can find some information here: https://www.mt-propeller.com/en/entw/stcs/rockw_3.htm, but no specific noise data. They do exist though, just ask them for a noise certificate. On the 114TC, the noise level is about the same, but it is very nice to fly with, much quicker on...

    Budget Travel

Re: Budget Travel Ken, why not fly with Virgin Atlantic Airways - they have direct flights from both Orlando and Atlanta, 8 - 9 hours and you will be "home". At the same time you support one of our great personalities in aviation, Richard Branson :)

    Fuel Prices

Re: Fuel Prices Be happy, in Denmark it is $9.31/USG self-service, which is historically cheap BTW.

    The need for speed . . .

Re: The need for speed . . . Todd, you have been very lucky with that one, if I were you I would not change anything. My 115TC can only do about 158 ktas @ FL100 with 2300/29 and 16GPH. My previous plane, a Bonanza A36 would easily do 175 ktas @ FL070 so I experience some difference. Not that...

    Commander MT-Propeller

Re: Commander MT-Propeller My TC has never been able to jump in the air, but a new MT prop and tweaking the MP, RPM to upper limits sure helps. Now we have ground run less than 1000 feet. Last October I called MT and asked if they could put on their 4-blade Malibu prop on my Commander, but they...
