I'm in a hanger and use a GSM switch to turn on both the engine heater and a small heater in the baggage compartment. I have the heater on medium setting and the thermostat on it is set to about 80°. I have a gadget that I made up that allows me to drop the cord out of the baggage compartment...

When I'm up in Show Low the temperatures will drop below zero. I have a setup that preheats both the cabin and the engine but I always wondered about switching to lithium in those conditions.

Has there been any improvement in cold weather performance with the new one's?

No it wasn't just titles I could actually get into the threads. I guess the best way to do it would be just log out so you're not in as a member click on new posts and a message pops up telling you that you are not approved to view this I don't remember the exact verbiage but as a part of that...

I will renew but it does trouble me that if non-member comes in and clicks on new posts they will see nothing but if they click on the show recent activity which comes up as a part of that they can get anywhere that they want on the website. Why would they pay for membership

Ok I guess its my turn -cant access any content. Didn't get any kind of expiration notice. Checking my account doesn't show me an expiration date. Very weird - it won't show me any new posts but if I click on check latest activity It allows me to see things that should be behind the firewall...

Sounds like a long-term commander owner. You would expect someone like that to understand the value of COG and be a member. I am surprised. Thank you for the info

I don't know why anyone wouldn't be a member but there are a whole lot more commanders than there are COG members. Chains are pretty common out west. We typically don't worry about rust and the sun rots ropes pretty quickly. I carry my own straps with me rather than use the chains.
