  • This is Pat Greber and I will be the owner of a 112b within the next 2 weeks. I am hoping you might know a CFI with time in a Commander that can help me get a specific complex endorsement for a commander (insurance requirement)
Thanks in advance Pat and fyi I am based at N87 Trenton Robbinsville

    Hi Pat and welcome!
Please feel free to reach out to Dennis Pyszczymuka (yes that is spelled correctly) pronounced "Pizmooka"
He's a Gulfstream Global Express driver for work and is also a CFII and all around great guy (and 112A HotShot owner)
He is based @ 1N7 Blairstown I believe.
I'll send his contact to you
Mine is a single Alternator setup, but I appreciate the thought/try either way :)

I couldn’t figure out how to “REPLY” to your message titled Alternator …it was in my “inbox” but apparently I’m a to old for tech these days since I couldn’t even figure out how to reply to the message :)
That is Kara the German Shepherd, she’s almost 9 now, still doing very well. Joe

    Beautiful girl!
    Love the breed
Just got our boy 4 yr old "Jax" back from Knee surgery at MJ Ryan Pennsylvania Vet Hospital!
Hi Bill, I need the top part to the post lamps on panel for a 112a. Do you know where I can get them?
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately he doesn’t have that plane anymore or I’d do exactly that. He is right near me. He has offered to come to where the plane is in West Virginia and check me out in the plane I’m buying.

As an alternative, the current owner is offering to let me build time with his pilot (owner doesn’t fly the plane), meet the insurance minimums, then go get my own and close the deal. One way or another, we’ll get this done. Thanks for the recommendation and encouragement!

on the group you can message her at her user name Janderson or email her @ Sunco@comcast.net
She brokers Commanders as well so may have a ship you might like
She is affectionately known as the "Queen Mother" of Commanders.
Worked for them "back in the day"
    Good Luck!
Hi, thanks for the response, sounds like good chance to see what the plane is like. Although I would probably be spoiled by the 115 compared to 112a.lol
I'm a little busy over the next two weeks, but I will get back to you soon....if that's ok?

    absolutely..open offer
Good afternoon Bill - I saw your post on the Garmin status, shortly after my similar conversation with Max. I had talked with Garmin at Oshkosh about letting them use my plane for testing, and was following up.... Like you, I am encouraged by the response.

That said, I'm still in need of an alternative to the Century I that is in the plane now, and you mentioned you are using a King unit. I am curious what other equipment is necessary to make that system work in a Commander, and is there an STC for it, as I didn't see the Commander listed as an "approved" airframe on King website.

Thank you in advance for your insight!
    Mike

Hi Mike, My ship came with the KFC225 factory installed (I guess as an option) so it has to be "approved".
When I got it there was a Sandel 3308 that drove it.
Now using a Garmin 275 HSI which I love! (and will go to b/u mode when I do the "Glass")
I'll check with Chris @ Sureflight for you and let you know.
I'll reach out early next week.
Special thanks to Judi for all her help in acquiring N3296B.
We closed the deal last Friday and it awaits a new paint scheme at SureFlight @ KMQS
The ship had been stored outside and the factory clear coat had "boiled" away.
Photos of the new scheme courtesy of SchemeDesigners.com to follow later this week upon completion.
Good Morning all..I found your group on while doing research on a possible 114B/115 purchase.
    What a dedicated group!
Looking forward to the next phase of a potential acquisition.
I am based out of KMQS in Coatesville, Pa.
Formerly a member of Morgantown Aero Club @O03 where we flew a Cherokee 235.
Concerns about the airstrip (grass) being sold forced the plane to be relocated too far away to make sense for me.
Therefore I'm on the search for my own ship.
115 seems to fit the bill.
Looking forward to the fellowship the exists on your site!
