    NH69: Fly-in and Party August 12

There will be a fly-in and party on August 12 at Windsock Village, NH69. This is an open invitation to all, not just Commanders! The rough schedule is lunch at noon, dinner at 5pm, live music at 7pm, aircraft all day long. I'm sure camping could be arranged with a little advance notice. We would...

New member - 2000 Commander 115 in KLWM

Paul Beaulieu at Avier (KBVY) has Commander experience. I'm up at NH69, and another 115 just moved to Nashua recently. We could form a gang.

    48 States in 48 Hours

The flight plan can be seen here: https://eximiousflying.club/en/48-x-48/ There were two pilots and they were going to trade off flying duties. Each stop they had to be on the ground long enough to get a local airport authority to sign something in order to validate the record.

They were forced to abort due to problems with the prop governor. Made it about 1/4 of the way when this happened.

https://generalaviationnews.com/2021/09/09/detroit-pilots-attempt-to-set-world-record-by-landing-in-all-48-states-in-48-hours/ Unfortunately the article came out several hours after they passed through my neighborhood... I would have cheered them on.

    Funny question/comment from Denver Center

Daytona Beach Approach asked me last week if I could slow to 100 knots. Had the frequency not been so busy I would have launched into a discussion on the virtues of vortex generators.

    MT Propeller

It sounded like lead time and price were going to be approximately the same between the two. Sensenich has a pickup truck, and my mechanic works with them frequently, so that's what swung me in that direction.
