topI looked around for approved vendors to repair the wastegate and finally settled on Aerospace welding (952-890-1511). They have locations in both MN and FL. I chose them for two reasons: #1 - In checking their
website they had the best parts blow-up of the exhaust I have seen.

I got the repaired part back
today and it was a work of art. The majority of the part was new. I helped
my A&P install it and it bolted up with very few adjustments - I was quite
impressed. topSource for fuel tank sealant: SealPak Company, Wichita,

airplanes is a Cutler-Hammer part number 8906K2516. This is well known
and comes straight from the parts catalog, as well as the printing on
the side of the actual switch. Last year I replace the three gear actuator up/down
hoses. The oil that drained out was thick and not very red, look like
molasses. By filling the tank and cycling the gear until the tank level
stabilized and the gear cycled normally most of the oil was new. The
hydraulic system/pump is a self venting system, add oil and cycle gear and
it's done. I would check all your hydraulic hose and replace any that are
stiff or cracked. Get the hose p/n from the parts manual and send it to
Precision Hose Technology, Tusla OK 918 835 3660 and some money and the
new hose will show up in the mail. Nice folks to work with only need part
numbers, aircraft type and s/n. The bearing on the gear side of my left main gear actuator seized up [due to a burr on the edge of the race -- probably caused by a rock]. After some research, I found the following: The 'C' in LS-6C is for chamfered. The 114 parts manual only shows the 6C (actually it is mistyped as 5C) as an alternate part, and the primary part as the 6. The 6C is now special order only. After checking my aircraft it became clear that a prior owner upgraded those parts to the 114 spec (with the retaining washer, and LS-6). As far as I can tell, the chamfering was not being taken advantage of, and it was just the part that was convenient to the factory at the time. So the short story is: if you have an actuator bearing fail, replace the LS-6C with the LS-6, and add the retaining washer. The retaining washer keeps things from turning ugly if the bearing is thrown in flight. Co-pilots side master cylinders for the 112 are Gerdes P/N A-110-9 which corresponds to a Cleveland 10-34 or Grove #670. $129 from Aircraft Spruce. No rebuild kit info available. The Pilots side Master Cylinder are a Gerdes A-049-3 which crosses to a Cleveland 10-35 or Grove #675 and costs $139.00 from Aircraft Spruce with a rebuild kit cost of $9.95 This part is made by Welch Machine & Tool 870 N State Road 14 Harper, KS 67058 phone: (316) 896-2764 or Bob @ commancheflyer@hotmail.com. As of June 2004, they said "We built the landing gear here at our company for the 114 for about 10 years starting in Feb 93.I have most parts in inventory....." You can have new nose gear cable assemblies made up by Beechhurst Industries, 150-35 12th Ave, Whitestone, NY 11357. 800-431-8436. Send them your old cables and they'll make up a new set. There have been reports from several of this bolt failing from fatigue therefore preventative replacement is recommended. The original part is an AN4-15 1/4-28 x 1 5/8". Recommend replacement is a NAS1104-20 or NAS6204-20 (different thread lengths). Both are 1/4-28. The NAS hardware is the same bolt w/ greater tensile strength characteristics. Drilled for castle nut. The part number is 45207-1, Plate 2-18, Item 1. If you ask Commander for the pin that's used in the new 114B's or 114TC's you'll get the solid (new) pin. Picture of new pin installed here. If you liked the control wheels in the sweeps Commander (http://www.cygnet.aero/p_controlwheel.html), here's the STC info you'll need to do it. JC Whitney sells a generic trim that is reported to work
well. This is the part that covers the interior plastic edges where they

Also, check out
http://www.rushinupholsterysupply.com - They have two
sizes in the online catalog, on page 8 (snap-on trim). I bought a box of
the smaller stuff since the large end of the range is 3/16" and the door
lip didn't seem that thick to me. You can call and get color samples if
you want to match to the interior color rather than going with white.
Definitely a lot cheaper than Plane Plastics or any other aviation
